Breitenbach is located on the left bank of the River Inn, opposite Kundl.
The pretty town is located on the sunny side of the Inn Valley, ringed by gently rolling hills and majestic peaks.
Breitenbach owes its title "Europagemeinde" to its people, associations and clubs, who, thanks to their dedication to customs and traditions, made friends with people from all over Europe.
Breitenbach offers scenic winter walking trails as well as two beautiful cross-country skiing tracks which were awarded a Seal of Quality for their impeccable grooming. Breitenbach's cross-country trails are connected with those of Angerberg-Mariastein and are among the region's best.
