Nestled into the sunny side of the Inn Valley is Breitenbach amid gently rolling hills and steep mountain peaks. The village consists of several areas namely: Haus, Peisselberg, Oberberg, Ausserdorf, Dorf, Oberdorf, Ramsau, Moos, Bichl, First, Schönau, Glatzham, Thal, Berg, Kleinsöll, Mitterweg and Strass.
Breitenbach owes its title "European Community" to its people, associations and clubs who, through their dedication to customs and traditions, made friends with people from all over Europe.
Well worth a visit in Breitenbach Lake Berglsteiner and the doll museum.
Breitenbach offers scenic Winter walking trails as well as two beautiful cross-country skiing trails, which were awarded a Seal of Quality for their impeccable condition. Breitenbach's cross-country trails are connected with those of Angerberg-Mariastein and are among the region's best.
