Brixlegg - Lively small town flair

From far you can already see the castles near the village at the entrance of the Alpbachtal. The shopping town of the region is home to several modern specialist shops. A special attraction on every first Saturday of the month is the regional farmers market with approx. 200 home produce, baked, cured and distilled products (bacon, cheese, sausages, Schnapps,...). The healing waters of the springs at the Mineralheilbad (spa) Mehrn (drinking cures) are a veritable gift from nature. Mineralheilbad Mehrn is a centre for health, fitness and wellness (therapies, massages, sauna, solarium, beauty).

MATZENPARK is a very special place - one of Tirol's largest nature parks. The 17-hectare-large area boasts exotic trees, quiet ponds, magical castles and a large playground - stroll around, enjoy and relax.

Facilities include heated outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, beautiful cycling and footpaths, and a skate park on the outskirts of town.

Brixlegg is definitely worth a visit during pre Christmas period - you will be able to experience our Christmas market with one of the most beautiful Christ child processions in the Tyrol, culinary specialities and a Christmas play.

In no time a free ski bus shuttle brings you to the Alpbach Valley ski area. If you enjoy Winter walks then come and discover the snow covered landscape around you and admire the castles and fortresses.
