Kramsach – Tyrol´s bath tub

There is hardly another resort in the Tyrol as rich in water as Kramsach. Water activities around the 4 lakes and in the Brandenberg stream are refreshing and superb. Three top quality camping sites offer prime locations on the lake shores.

Mountain hikers will surely appreciate the Rofan range with its steeped in legend Lake Zirein, great hiking paths as well as easy walking paths around the warmest bathing lakes. With the aid of the Sonnwendjochbahn you easily cover the height difference from 520 up to 1900 metres altitude.

Sport lovers and adventure seekers will find plenty of distractions in Kramsach at Sport Ossi´s. His Outdoor Centre offers wild water sports and tours in the high rope gardens.

Culture lovers will be sure to get their moneys worth. An air of nostalgia hangs over the Museum of Tyrolean Farms with its old buildings and their interesting pasts. Each building bears an impressive witness of a culture long past. A very particular type of humour can be found at the wrought iron blacksmith Hans Guggenbergers "Lustiger Friedhof" (humorous cemetry). A cemetry without any dead and with inscriptions to make you smile.

Kramsach provides ideal conditions for ski novices with a beginners piste and 2 beginners lifts, which children under 15 can user free of charge! The free ski bus brings you to the nearby Alpbachtal ski area (8 km). Kramsach also offers a great programme off the slopes, such as ice skating on Lake Reintal (at your own risk). Cross-country skiers can use the superbly groomed trail along the lake and Winter walkers will find plenty of cleared paths.
