The region can’t really claim to be an insider’s tip for mountain bikers anymore since the Transalp Challenge has already been held in the region on four occasions. Nevertheless it would be presumptuous to say the region is overcrowded with cyclists.

So in a way the area has remained a secret tip for lovers of bike tours! Apart from the numerous bike tours in the Kitzbühel and Ziller Valley Alps and the routes in the Rofan Range / Brandenberg Alps there are also plenty of well marked biking trails for families. Discover the region and its many beautiful attractions on two wheels!

The more daring bikers shouldn’t miss a descent along the free ride trail "Laubwerk" in Alpbach. The 800m long trail (150 m difference in elevation) will prove a challenge for free riders and bikers wanting to brush up on their biking techniques.
