Café-Konditorei-Hacker, in the centre of picturesque Rattenberg, is a haven of sweet delights – resistance futile! In addition to 40 different cakes, homemade ice cream specialities made with locally produced milk, handmade chocolates and light macarons, Café Hacker is particularly well known for its exquisite, hand-pulled apple strudel.

The owner of the family run confectioners is an expert, known for his entertaining and interesting apple strudel show. He demonstrates the pulling and stretching of the dough and explains the main steps. Only when the dough is so thin you can read the newspaper through it, is it spot-on. Not to be missed after the demonstration, is the strudel tasting with vanilla custard, ice cream or whipped cream!
