Gairer Carnival with Punch and Judy Show

Sankt Gertraudi (municipality of Reith i. A.) may be small with just under 250 inhabitants, but when it comes to celebrating carnival, the village can compete with other carnival strongholds. Unlike in larger towns St.Gertraudi has never taken a break when it comes to carnival. Once again, the ‘Gairer Faschingsgilde’ has been busy. On carnival Saturday, the traditional carnival parade will start with many colourful floats and groups as well as entertaining performances. Afterwards, Punch and Judy will perform an amusing story at the fire brigade building.

Young carnival revellers can enjoy free lemonade and doughnuts at the children's carnival, to which all children from near and far are invited. There will also be lots of fun games, dancing and entertainment. An open-end carnival party with (hopefully) plenty of amusing performances awaits adults.

• 1:30 p.m. | Gairer Carnival at the fire brigade building
• 2:00 p.m. | Carnival parade
• 3:30 p.m. | Punch and Judy show at the fire brigade building
• 5:00 p.m. | Open end carnival party for all ages
• Fun performances by the carnival guild
