Kundl Gorge

The Kundl Gorge is a popular outing destination for yound and old. A wide and well-maintained trail leads past mighty and bizarre rock formations.

The river bed accommodates many different kinds of geological stones. You can have those stones turned and grinded at Tirol's only Stone Turner Workshop. A unique souvenir from Kundl!

As a final highlight you can go for a ride in the slow train across the Kundl Gorge. It operates between the gorge station and Mühltal several times a day from 17th May to 21st September.

Requirements: sturdy shoes, sure-footedness, a good head for heights.
Please check the weather forecast before setting out! We recommend to avoid the gorge in bad weather conditions.
