Ideal ski slopes and lifts for children and beginners

Special terrain for children in the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau skiing area

Inneralpbach - babylift

The Acherfeld Babylift (W15) next to the Pöglbahn bottom station in Inneralpbach offers ideal conditions for a children’s ski area. The short slope – approx. 100m – is easy to negotiate and keeps children busy for hours, learning and having fun at the same time.

Inneralpbach - children’s ski areas

In Inneralpbach opposite the Pöglbahn bottom station and between the Galtenberg Family & Wellness Resort and Connys - Original Tiroler Wirtshaus you’ll find the "Kinder Club BOBO" an area for practicing to ski run by the Ski school Alpbach-Inneralpbach. The gentle slope includes a ski lift; magic carpet and fun play areas.

"Ski & Smile"  - the children’s ski area for children skiing with the Ski school Alpbachtal is near the Galtenberg Family & Wellness Resort in Inneralpbach – at the Pöglbahn bottom station!

The Alpbachtal children’s ski areas – fun for the whole family!

Wiedersbergerhorn - Alpbach

In "Frosty's Schneewelt" a special area with carpet lifts located next to the Wiedersbergerhornbahn top station and run by the Ski school Alpbach Aktiv children can learn to ski while playing in the designated play areas.

When you’ve learned the elementary skills take the Kohlgrubenlift (W7) on the Wiedersbergerhorn. Sweeping down the slope of this easy ski route is great fun. A separate children’s lane brings kids to the lift and the blue descent 62 leads to the Mulden button lift (W10). Up and down you go and then ski down to the Hornboden drag lift (W8), a good easily accessible ski lift next to the top station.

Intermediates can take the no. 46 or no. 44 run to the Gmahbahn chair lift (W4) or continue down to the Wiedersbergerhornbahn middle station. Kid´s love the wide long descent!

Ski lift and pistes Alpbach - Wildschönau

After having practised in Alpbach the next port of call is the Wildschönau. The gondola from Inneralpbach takes one up the Schatzberg in no time. There are many gentle slopes around the Schatzberg that are ideal for beginners and intermediates. The pistes around the Schatzbergbahn (S1) middle station are perfect for total newcomers. A conveyor belt lift or the Koglmoos lift (S7) bring skiers back to the beginning of the easy blue slope where they can practice to their hearts desire.

Reith im Alpbachtal

The Ski school Reith im Alpbachtal runs the learning area situated right next to the Reitherkogelbahn bottom station. Laid out over a wide and flat area it is an ideal spot to make the first skiing moves. Learning to ski and getting a feel is made easy with the aid of a ski carousel.

The Wiesenlift Babylift (S) is 260 m long and covers an altitude difference of 20 m - ideal for the first "downhill". The 450m long Brandachlift button lift (P) on a gentle slope is the next step. Once you feel confident enough get on board the Reitherkogelbahn 8-seater gondola and try out your skills on the blue run to the Hochlift button lift(Q).

On your next skiing holiday (who knows maybe already on your first) you can speed from the top to bottom station down run no. 15 - a popular run for beginners and intermediates - what a joy! The Liftstüberl next to the bottom station has a lovely terrace where parents can watch their ski stars.

In the children' ski paradise Juppi Do every ski day promises a new adventure with your children learning to ski the best way possible – with fun!

Alpbach village centre

The Böglerfeldlift (D1) is situated in Alpbach village centre between the Congress Centre and the Böglerhof - pure nature resort. The slope has quite an incline so does not really qualify as a beginner’s piste, but is ideal for skiers getting back into the rhythm. Regular spectacular ski shows take place on this slope and the ski schools sometimes use the slope for beginners’ courses.

For children up to age 15 skiing in Kramsach is completely free of charge. The 400m wide and virtually flat slope is ideal for beginners trying out their first turns on skis. Two button lifts (the Taxbodenlift and the Wittberglift) are easy to use.

At the bottom station the Liftstüberl is a good place to have lunch or warm up.
