The Acherfeld Babylift (W15) next to the Pöglbahn bottom station in Inneralpbach offers ideal conditions for a children’s ski area. The short slope – approx. 100m – is easy to negotiate and keeps children busy for hours, learning and having fun at the same time.
In Inneralpbach opposite the Pöglbahn bottom station and between the Galtenberg Family & Wellness Resort and Connys - Original Tiroler Wirtshaus you’ll find the "Kinder Club BOBO" an area for practicing to ski run by the Ski school Alpbach-Inneralpbach. The gentle slope includes a ski lift; magic carpet and fun play areas.

In "Frosty's Schneewelt" a special area with carpet lifts located next to the Wiedersbergerhornbahn top station and run by the Ski school Alpbach Aktiv children can learn to ski while playing in the designated play areas.
When you’ve learned the elementary skills take the Kohlgrubenlift (W7) on the Wiedersbergerhorn. Sweeping down the slope of this easy ski route is great fun. A separate children’s lane brings kids to the lift and the blue descent 62 leads to the Mulden button lift (W10). Up and down you go and then ski down to the Hornboden drag lift (W8), a good easily accessible ski lift next to the top station.
Intermediates can take the no. 46 or no. 44 run to the Gmahbahn chair lift (W4) or continue down to the Wiedersbergerhornbahn middle station. Kid´s love the wide long descent!
After having practised in Alpbach the next port of call is the Wildschönau. The gondola from Inneralpbach takes one up the Schatzberg in no time. There are many gentle slopes around the Schatzberg that are ideal for beginners and intermediates. The pistes around the Schatzbergbahn (S1) middle station are perfect for total newcomers. A conveyor belt lift or the Koglmoos lift (S7) bring skiers back to the beginning of the easy blue slope where they can practice to their hearts desire.
The Ski school Reith im Alpbachtal runs the learning area situated right next to the Reitherkogelbahn bottom station. Laid out over a wide and flat area it is an ideal spot to make the first skiing moves. Learning to ski and getting a feel is made easy with the aid of a ski carousel.
The Wiesenlift Babylift (S) is 260 m long and covers an altitude difference of 20 m - ideal for the first "downhill". The 450m long Brandachlift button lift (P) on a gentle slope is the next step. Once you feel confident enough get on board the Reitherkogelbahn 8-seater gondola and try out your skills on the blue run to the Hochlift button lift(Q).
On your next skiing holiday (who knows maybe already on your first) you can speed from the top to bottom station down run no. 15 - a popular run for beginners and intermediates - what a joy! The Liftstüberl next to the bottom station has a lovely terrace where parents can watch their ski stars.

The Böglerfeldlift (D1) is situated in Alpbach village centre between the Congress Centre and the Böglerhof - pure nature resort. The slope has quite an incline so does not really qualify as a beginner’s piste, but is ideal for skiers getting back into the rhythm. Regular spectacular ski shows take place on this slope and the ski schools sometimes use the slope for beginners’ courses.
For children up to age 15 skiing in Kramsach is completely free of charge. The 400m wide and virtually flat slope is ideal for beginners trying out their first turns on skis. Two button lifts (the Taxbodenlift and the Wittberglift) are easy to use. The local kids from the Kramsach Kindergarten learn to ski here and are instructed by ski instructors from the Skischule Kramsach Aktiv.
After a mere two or three days they are ready to ski in the ski areas in Reith i.A. or Alpbach and with great pride can put to test what they’ve learnt on bigger slopes.
At the bottom station the Liftstüberl is a good place to have lunch or warm up.
