Would your child like to learn to ski, but do you find it too much of a hassle to organise ski lessons, ski hire and a ski pass separately? With "Kids on Ski", you get everything as a complete package. And it's free for your child.
‘Kids on Ski’ in the Alpbachtal is aimed at children aged 4 and 5 who have never been on skis before. They learn to ski during selected weeks outside the main school holidays: with five half-day lessons, equipment hire and a 6-day ski pass. Accommodation in their parents’ room is also free for the child. You book 7 nights at one of the participating accommodation providers; the rest is covered by a voucher.

The ‘Kids On Ski’ voucher is valid at the following ski schools and ski hire shops. Please note: To secure a place at the ski school, we strongly recommend booking directly with the ski school before you arrive!
How Kids on Ski works
1. Register on kids-on-ski.com.
Select the Alpbachtal region, a resort and a week, and enter your children's details. This secures your place.
2. Book with the resort.
Once you've registered, you'll be taken to the resort's page. There, you can book your 7 nights or make an enquiry.
3. Create a voucher.
Using your booking number, create your voucher on kids-on-ski.com and print it out.
4. Book a ski course & get started
With the voucher, your child will receive a ski course, hire equipment and a ski pass. Important: you must register for the ski course with the ski school in advance!
Why learn to ski in the Alpbachtal?
The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau is easy to navigate, with short distances between runs. For families with young children, this means less planning and more time in the snow.
There are children’s areas and village lifts in Alpbach, Reith im Alpbachtal, Kramsach and Brandenberg for practising. In Reith, the JUPPI-DO children’s area is situated right next to the valley station of the Reitherkogelbahn. When the little ones need a break, there are 25 huts and mountain restaurants in the ski area, including family-run huts.
The course weeks fall outside the main holiday periods. That’s handy, as with pre-school-aged children, you’re flexible when it comes to planning your holidays anyway.

Kids on Ski is a nationwide initiative that enables children to learn to ski for free. In the Alpbachtal, it is available to children aged 4 and 5. Ski lessons, equipment hire, a ski pass and accommodation in their parents’ room are all free of charge for the child.
For children aged 4 and 5 who have never skied before and are not yet of school age. Up to 2 children may take part per booking.
Parents pay for their own accommodation and ski passes for adults. For a 4- or 5-year-old child, ski lessons, equipment hire and accommodation in their parents’ room are free of charge. Furthermore, at Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, ski passes are automatically free for all children under the age of 6.
7 nights’ accommodation for the child in their parents’ room, 5 half-day ski lessons for beginners (approx. 2 to 3 hours), 6 days’ equipment hire including a helmet, and a 6-day ski pass.
