Jocher Chapel

The chapel lies along an old footpath to the Brandenberg Valley.

According to an old legend the origin of the Jocher Chapel, which was built in the middle of the forest can be traced back to a former farmer from the Waldl farm in Breitenbach. He was on his way home from the Brandenberg Valley along the "Jocherweg", when suddenly a large snake blocked his path. In his distress, he began to pray and promised to build a chapel at this exact spot in the middle of the forest if he returned home healthy. He put his promise into practice.

In 2001, the current owners (Waldlhof) had the chapel lovingly renovated.
