Rattenberger Advent- Saturday

In the medieval Rattenberg, Advent is celebrated differently. By candlelight and with warming fires, one enjoys the special atmosphere in the smallest city in Austria. 

On the Advent weekends, the medieval city of Rattenberg shines in the light of stars, candles, torches, and open fires. Restaurants and shops pamper you with local delicacies and invite you to relax and enjoy. Reflective Advent music in the stores of the city accompanies you throughout the afternoon and evening.

From 2:30 p.m.
- Tyrolean customs program in the city
- Fairy tale path | from west to east, signs can be found throughout the city for exploration
- Children's program in the courtyard of the Rattenberg Music Middle School
- Glass orb blowing at Kristallglas Kisslinger

3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Various music groups perform at different locations in the city

3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Exhibition at the Augustiner Museum Rattenberg | Admission by voluntary donation

3:30 p.m. - Main Stage
- Musical program of the Kramsach State Music School on the main stage, details to follow!

4:00 p.m. - Spitalskirche
- Irish harp music, Styrian accordion & texts and thoughts in the Spitalskirche by the “Ensemble GedankenSpiel” (starting from November 28, 2026)

4:30 p.m.
- Inn search | Meeting point at the Nail Smith Houses

5:15 p.m. (not on December 19)
- Procession of the light bearers
- Musical performance by the Rattenberg Music Middle School
- various Tyrolean customs programs on the main stage

6:15 p.m.
- Ave Maria closing song | Elisabeth de Roo

From 7:00 p.m.
- December 13 Concert of the Wildschönau Gospel Choir

On December 19, the Silent Advent takes place:
There is no program on the main stage - in a reflective atmosphere, music groups will wander through the city from 3:00 p.m.; exhibition at the Augustiner Museum; inn search; children's program; harp music & readings.

WARNING: on December 6, 2026, there will be no "Silent Advent" due to the Perchtenlauf.
