How do you make your four-year-old's first day on skis stress-free? By keeping everything close at hand.
From the 4-star Hotel Der Kirchenwirt in Reith im Alpbachtal, it's just a few minutes to the Reitherkogelbahn gondola and JUPPI-DO Kinderland. Here, at the foot of the Reither Kogel, your child can make their first turns on skis with the help of a button lift and magic carpet. Reither Kogel itself is a lovely family-friendly ski mountain, while the ski bus takes you to Alpbach and the rest of the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski area.
With the Kids on Ski package, children aged 4 or 5 who have never skied before can learn to ski for free. Ski lessons, equipment hire and ski passes are all included at no extra cost, as is accommodation in their parents' room, for up to 2 children.
And afterwards? The Rieser family and their welcoming team greet you with a welcome drink. From 3 to 5 pm, homemade cakes and sweet treats await by the crackling fire. Then there's time for a dip in the indoor pool or a visit to the sauna, while the little ones have fun in the playroom. In the evening, the hotel's ¾ board dining experience rounds off the day with regional specialities.
