Looking for a summit experience without a strenuous climb? This scenic circular hike on Wiedersberger Horn combines breathtaking mountain views with an easy walking time of around two hours – perfect for families with children and anyone who enjoys exploring nature at a relaxed pace.

The Wiedersbergerhorn Cable Car takes you comfortably up to around 1,800 metres above sea level. From the top station, the Panorama Trail leads through beautiful alpine landscapes with stunning views at every turn. Numerous benches along the way invite you to sit back, soak up the scenery and enjoy quality time together in the mountains. One of the highlights is the “Gate to the Alpbachtal”, an old wooden door that frames a spectacular view of the surrounding peaks and makes for a memorable photo stop.

A short ascent leads to the summit of Wiedersberger Horn (2,127 m), where a magnificent panoramic view of the Tyrolean Alps awaits. The route then continues along the south ridge down to the Hornalm mountain hut, an ideal place for a refreshment break. Afterwards, the trail follows the Panorama Trail back to the top station, completing the circular route.

At the mountain station, the Berggasthof Hornboden and the Dauerstoaalm offer additional opportunities to relax and enjoy regional cuisine. Families should also visit Lauserland, a mountain adventure playground with forest-themed play stations. If there is still time left, end the day with an extra dose of fun on the Lauser Sauser Alpine Coaster, located right next to the mountain station.
