Kirchrain stroll with viewing platform (barrier free)

Leisurely hike along the route taken at church processions in Brandenberg. Recharge your batteries and enjoy the summer air with a minimum of elevation gain! The path leads from the church along the pavement past the parish hall and the Gasthof Neuwirt towards the Spar supermarket. Continue past the supermarket and Moni's Schuhe and then turn left. You are now on the Kirchrain footpath which leads to the chapel, some benches and finally to the viewing platform.

The viewing platform has a small step, which needs to be considered in terms of accessibility.

The circular route to the church is a hurdle for wheelchair users due to its narrowness and steepness. The path is still suitable for a pram, but we do not recommend it for wheelchairs without an accompanying person. 

We therefore, recommend taking the same barrier-free path back from the viewing platform.

Barrier-free WC:

• There is a barrier-free WC at the parish hall. However, it is inside the building and only open when events are taking place at the parish hall.
• There is a barrier-free WC at the Gasthof Neuwirt. The lift takes you down to the basement, where the WC is located.
