Mountain Advent in Alpbachtal

On December 21, 2025, the Mountain Advent Alpbachtal between the mountain station of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn and the Gasthof Hornboden will take place for the first time. From 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, the area at the mountain station transforms into a deep snow-covered, fairy-tale Advent world high above the valley. In the longest night of the year, a romantic winter ambiance awaits you at 1,850 meters above sea level with Tyrolean Advent music and a contemplative atmosphere for young and old – easily accessible by the Wiedersbergerhornbahn.

Among crackling fire pits and snow-covered peaks, brass players, carolers, a primary school class from Alpbach, alphorn players, and a folk music group at various spots provide Christmas sounds. Another highlight is the glowing LED walking acts moving across the grounds, as well as the photo station of the Alpbachtal Cable Cars, where you can take a souvenir photo and download it for free.

There is also plenty of food & drink: Fresh Kiachln from the Alpbach farmers as well as warm dishes and hot beverages from the Alpbach Mountain Rescue, the Ski Club Alpbach, Sport H&N, and the Alpbach Crib Association invite you to indulge. The Kolberbauer adds to the offerings with regional specialties such as bacon, Kaminwurzen, and smoked salmon. Additionally, other stands showcase their handicrafts for browsing. In the Gasthof Hornboden, you can tuck in comfortably, while mulled wine, punch, and hot chocolate at various stands create delightful moments in the winter mountain scenery.

For our little guests, there is a craft station in the warm area of the mountain station, where they can get creative and make small memories.

Not a big market hustle, but a decelerating gathering in the Tyrolean winter wonderland – warm-hearted, atmospheric, and authentic.

Arrival & Departure
The valley station of the Wiedersbergerhornbahn is accessible via the VVT Bus 620 between Brixlegg train station and Inneralpbach, as well as by car. A shuttle service is available for departure.
