Alpbach via Bischofer Saddle to the Holzalm

Start from Alpbach, walking past to the left of the church past the hotel Böglerhof and then turn left immediately. A beautiful path leads upwards, partly across meadows, to the Hausberg farms. 

At the chapel, turn left onto the A6 and hike itowards the Bischoferalm. When you reach the alpine pasture, follow the signs for "Hauseralm/Holzalm".  Two hairpin bends further on, you reach the "Almausschank Bischofer Käsalm". After a break, the hike continues to the Bischofer Saddle. From the saddle, follow the signs for the "Holzalm" and hike slightly uphill along a forest track to the Berggasthof Holzalm.
