Turn left uphill at the Kaiserhaus and follow the unpaved forest track up to the „Trauersteg“. Continue along a long flat stretch through the "Gemäuer" (brickwork) to the Schöberl bridge and crossing the bridge turn left. Continue uphill past the Bairachalmen and Schöberljagdhütte (hunting lodge) to the Guffert Hütte (Ludwig-Aschenbrenner-Hut).
