Pinegg - Kaiser Gorge

The gorge is a great place for a summer adventure. The winding gushing Brandenberg River provides a stunning show each and every day.

Turn left at the bridge after Pineggand follow the course of the river to the Ellbach (stream). At the junction turn left and follow the signs for the Kaiserhaus. The entrance to the Kaiser Gorge is on the right after the next bridge.

Follow the narrow track (sure-footedness required; children's harnesses can be hired for a returnable fee at the following points: Sport OSSI in Kramsach and the Kaiserhaus in Brandenberg) through the gorge to the Trauersteg. At the end of the gorge bear left and walk along the forest track (no. 11) to the Kaiserhaus and the tarmacked road back to the starting point.

Safety guidelines

The gorges can also harbour dangers. We strongly recommend not to walk the gorges on days with heavy rainfall.
