In addition to the popular audio guided tour (available in nine languages), the spectacular 360° virtual reality time travel experience in our new experience carriages provides an impressive glimpse into the past. Experience with your own eyes how the former castle of Emperor Maximilian I fell victim to a devastating fire in 1492 and was subsequently rebuilt into the famous Renaissance jewel that still towers high above the Tyrolean Inn Valley near Jenbach today.

Afterward, former lords of the castle – including the Fuggers – will personally guide you through the authentically furnished rooms and armories via an audio guide. Discover hidden secret doors, marvel at the famous Habsburg Hall, and learn how history was made here – and continues to be made to this day, as Tratzberg Castle still serves as the residence of the Count family Goëss-Enzenberg.

A particular highlight is the freshly restored Renaissance painting in the magnificent inner courtyard. The artistic wall paintings can be admired as part of a castle tour.

For children, there are exciting fairytale tours in four languages featuring knights, secret doors, Sleeping Beauty's spinning wheel, and many other surprises. Young visitors can also win great prizes in the knight quiz.

The “Tratzberg Express” train takes you and your family comfortably through the romantic castle forest up to the castle, and after the impressive time travel experience, it relaxingly brings you back down into the valley. There, the castle host invites you to linger in the garden restaurant and children's playground, providing a delightful conclusion to a fairytale outing with high-quality Tyrolean cuisine.
