Mary, Help of Christians Church
The small branch church Maria Hilf is located slightly elevated above the valley floor in the area of the Grünwald.
A chapel built in 1665 was replaced by a stone structure by 1681, to which a hermit's cell was attached. In 1716, the church was expanded to its current size.
The dissolution of all hermitages ordered by Emperor Joseph II in 1782 led to the church and cell being sold into private hands. After the church's usage for worship was resumed in 1823, the properties were re-transferred to the parish in 1861.
The interior of the church presents itself in a Baroque appearance. The corresponding painting was done by Christoph Anton Mayr in 1768. However, some of this was lost due to war damages in 1945, which is why Alfred Hochschwarzer and Josef Ghezzi provided a stylistically appropriate replacement in 1958 and 1981/82, respectively. The high altar, possibly created by Jakob Mayr, houses a Pietà with the corresponding accompanying figures.
