Alpbachtal – Luxurious Indulgence

The idyllic Alpbachtal Seenland landscape and the manifold outdoor activities whet the appetite for Tyrolean cuisine. Predominately traditional, but often with a modern touch.

Culinary Regional Highlights

Hearty and simple farm fare in the traditional mountain huts, relish in Tyrolean delicacies at the local inns or choose from international specialities in one of the award winning restaurants.  A locally brewed schnapps as a digestif is a must. Not to be missed is the buttery sweet „Brandenberger Prügeltorte“. A farmer's market, where farmers sell their produce from bacon to cheese takes place every first Saturday of the month. The region's "flagship" is the „Alpbachtaler Heumilchkäse“, which can be bought at the dairy in Reith im Alpbachtal. They also sell other exquisite cheeses. After a good days‘ hike, Jos and his „Kristall Brauerei Inneralpbach“ are worth a visit
