Kniepass via Grünsbach

The Rofan Range is known for it's hiking routes variety. This circular hike from Münster to the peak cross next to the Kniepass chapel is an absolute insiders tip. 

The hike starts in Münster in Grünsbach at the forest car park. After a five-minute walk, you reach the Habach Stream, which you cross over a small bridge. Then turn left and simply follow the course of the stream. The path leads over partly steep terrain to the "Herrgottstein" power spot. You are literally drawn towards the spot to take a short break.

Keep following the signs hiking a beautiful trail until you reach the Postalm. The view is simply indescribable, you have to see for yourself. The Inn Valley lies at your feet and the view of the Alpbachtal and Zillertal are mesmerising! To reach the Kniepass chapel follow the signs from the Postalm. The splendid cross was errected by the Landjugend (rural youth association) Münster.

The hike takes approx. 1:15 h and covers 500 m elevatuon!

Your snack tastes even better when accompanied by the amazing views!

The descent is via the partly steep path to the right of the cross and further via a gravel road back to the forest car park.
