Advent is celebrated differently in medieval Rattenberg. You can enjoy the special atmosphere in Austria's smallest town by candlelight and with warming fireplaces.

On the Advent weekends, the medieval town of Rattenberg is bathed in candle light, the glow of torchlights and open fires! Savour culinary delicacies at the various eateries in town and look out for the perfect Christmas present for your loved ones in the shops. Contemplative Advent music in the towns' shops will accompany you through the afternoon and evening.

2:30 - 5:00 p.m. special programme of events for children

• Blowing glass baubles at Kristallglas Kisslinger
• Making things & face painting at designated places in the city

25.11., 02.12., 09.12., 16.12. from 2:30 – 6:00 p.m.: The Advent fun train

• will shuttle between Rattenberger Advent and Brixlegg Christmas market approx. Every 20 minutes between Rattenberger Advent and Brixlegg Christmas market. Bus stops: Rattenberg P1 | tourist office, INNKauf bus stop, Brixlegg train station, Volksbank Brixlegg

4:00 p.m. - Anklöpfler (groups enacting the Nativity play) & fairy tale trail through the town (from west to east)
5:00 p.m. - harp music & readings (in German) with Elisabeth Rohregger & Gerhard Salchner at the Augustinian Museum. Duration: approx. 30 minutes / Eintritt frei!
6:00 p.m. - Ave Maria at the Sparkassenplatz
