Enjoy the summer evening in the mountains and experience the sunset high above the Alpbachtal?

On Thursday, August 20, 2026, the Wiedersbergerhornbahn will extend its operating hours in good weather and comfortably bring you up the mountain and back down into the valley until the evening hours.

After regular daytime operations until 5:00 p.m., the special ride starts:
From 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. the Wiedersbergerhornbahn is in operation for you. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the evening atmosphere at the Wiedersberger Horn, observe the sunset over the Tyrolean mountain world, and let the day come to an end in a special ambiance.

The following three huts are open and invite you to stop by:

• Dauerstoa Alm
  With à la carte hut cuisine, music from the Zillertal Bergecho
• Berggasthof Hornboden
  Sunset special: Alpine tapas (also vegetarian), musical entertainment
• Hornalm
  Grill specialties on the charcoal grill and Tyrolean live music "die 3 Schatzberger"

The Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser is in operation until 8:00 p.m. The regular price list applies here.

The last valley ride from the mountain station is at 9:30 p.m..

The Ski Juwel summer season passes and annual passes as well as the Kitzbüheler Alpen passes are also valid during the special ride.

Please note: The Alpbachtal Card is only valid during regular operating hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A separate ticket is required for mountain and valley rides after 5:00 p.m.

Tickets are available at the ticket office. If you are already on the mountain during the day, you can purchase a ticket for the later valley ride at the mountain station.

The special ride takes place only in good weather!
