German Brass Concert

For over five decades, German Brass has thrilled audiences with brass artistry at the highest level. The ensemble, founded in 1974, consists of ten soloists and university professors and is characterized by its distinctive sound, which is rediscovered and celebrated in every concert and recording.

On countless tours worldwide, German Brass has impressed both audiences and the press alike. Particularly in Japan and China, the ensemble is achieving great success and enjoys cult status. The arrangements specifically created for the ensemble by Mathias Höfs and Alexander Erbrich-Crawford are among the classics of the international brass repertoire.

In 2024, German Brass celebrated its 50th anniversary, and in autumn 2025, the new CD “A Tribute to Johann Strauss” was released by Berlin Classics – a magnificent tribute to Viennese esprit, dance elegance, and the unbroken spirit of discovery of the ensemble. Remaining young in sound, curious in mind, and more successful than ever, German Brass impressively demonstrates that tradition and renewal can resonate in perfect harmony.

On October 29, the group will perform at Congress Centrum Alpbach. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. The concert starts at 8:00 p.m.
