Sunset cruise at the Wiedersberger Horn

Fancy enjoying a summer evening in the mountains and watching the sunset high above the Alpbachtal?

On Thursday, 20 August 2026, weather permitting, the Wiedersbergerhornbahn will extend its operating hours, taking you comfortably up the mountain and back down into the valley well into the evening.

Following the regular daytime service, which runs until 17:00, the special service will begin: The Wiedersbergerhornbahn will be running for you from 5.00 pm to 9.30 pm. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the evening atmosphere on the Wiedersberger Horn, watch the sunset over the Tyrolean mountains and round off the day in a special atmosphere.

The three huts – Dauerstoa Alm, Hornalm and Hornboden – are open and invite you to stop for a bite to eat.

The last descent from the mountain station takes place at 9:30 p.m..

The Ski Juwel summer season tickets and all-year-round passes as well as the Kitzbühel Alps passes are also valid during the special ride.

Please note: The Alpbachtal Card is valid exclusively during regular operating hours from 09:00 to 17:00. A separate ticket is required for up and down trips after 17:00.

Tickets are available at the ticket office. Anyone already on the mountain during the day can buy a ticket for the later descent at the mountain station.

The special ride will only take place in good weather!
