Enjoy a walk through one on Austria's most beautiful gorges. White water sports lovers choose to negotiate the course of the gorge in the gushing waters in kayaks and tubes.
The Tiefenbach Gorge is a highlight for kayaking enthusiasts and hikers.
The Tiefenbach Gorge between Kramsach and Brandenberg is a unique natural beauty. Walk along the Triftsteig trail for one hour and have a break at the Jausenstation Tiefenbachklamm or the Jausenstation Stegerstall (a further 20 minutes from the end of the gorge).
Take the same route back or walk uphill to Brandenberg and take the bus from there.
Top highlight: the new viewing platform at the most spectacular point of the gorge!
Requirements: sturdy shoes, surefootedness and a good head for heights. You can rent climbing belts and safety leashes for children at the Jausenstation Tiefenbachklamm or at Sport Ossi in Kramsach (next to Sonnwendjochbahn). Both the Jausenstation Tiefenbachklamm and Sport Ossi charge a refundable deposit of € 20,--
Due to safety reasons the gorges are closed between November and April and on days with heavy rain.
