Stage 6: Kramsach - Brandenberg Kaiser Gorge EUREGIO Marien-Weg M4

Discover wonderful scenery on well-trodden hiking trails and old pilgrimage routes. Stage 6 leads from Kramsach / Mariathal to Brandenberg / Kaiser Gorge.
Hike stage 6 from the Mariathal basilica in Kramsach to the Kaiser gorge in Brandenberg.
At the Mariathal basilica, walk through the forest alongside the Brandenberger Stream for about 3,5 km. Turn onto the Tiefenbach Gorge trail and follow it crossing over three bridges to the Jausenstation Tiefenbachklamm. (Mariathal - Jausenstation approx. 7 km and 200 m altitude gain). From the Jausenstation, walk along the path through the forest and across a meadow to the bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the Aschau road to the crossroads. Take the path to the right leading alongside the stream towards Pinegg (Jausenstation - Pinegg approx. 3,5 km and 70 m altitude gain). In Pinegg, on the main road L4 cross the stream and walk along the path through meadows and forests up the valley for approx. 3 km. At the point where the Brandenberger Stream joins the Ellbach, follow the trail for 500 m. Cross the stream and walk along the Ellbach road for 1,5 km. Cross the stream one last time and you will already have a view up the impressive Kaiser Gorge. After a 5-minute walk on the Ellbacher road, you reach the Kaiserhaus (Pinegg - Kaiserhaus approx. 3,5 km and 70 m altitude gain).
