Brandenberg is approx. 7 km from the motorway exit Kramsach and lies on a
sunny high plateau. The village is divided into five areas... Aschau, Pinegg, Oberberg, Unterberg and Dorf.

Summer in Brandenberg

The Brandenberg stream with its fascinating gorges the Tiefenbach and Kaiser gorges are exiting natural wonders waiting to be discovered. Both the Bike Trail Tirol and the Adlerweg Tirol (Eagles Trail) run through Brandenberg and can be easily joined.

Brandenberg is known for its famous „Brandenberger Prügeltorte“. The art of preparing this spitcake over the open wood fire has survived for generations. The Prügeltorte not only looks great, but also tastes delicious together with a coffee or cup of tea. Gertrude Messner at the Neuschwendthof is a fountain of knowledge regarding herbs and their properties.

Winter in Brandenberg

Brandenberg, situated on a sunny plateau lures Winter walkers and cross country skiers with its manifold hiking paths and cross country trails. A small draglift offers ideal conditions for families (free use for children up to age 15) and there is lots of fun awaiting all on the natural toboggan run.

The Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau skiing area is just a stone's throw from Brandenberg!
