Austria´s smallest town

With just 400 inhabitants and a surface area of 10 ha Rattenberg is Austria´s smallest historical town. The medieval pedestrian zone is dominated by the unique displays of glass craft in the numerous shops.

The Augustinian Museum with its valuable exhibits is one of the Tyrol´s leading museums. The annually held plays of the Schlossbergspiele and the authentic Rattenberger Advent justify Rattenberg´s privilege as cultural centre of the region.

Rattenberg has almost entirely preserved its medieval townscape

Rattenberg is always worth a visit

In summer many tourists from all over the world visit the town with its particular flair. In winter Rattenberg celebrates the Advent Saturdays in a unique way. Artists from the region and associations from the town present theatrical and musical performances following the customs and traditions of this reflective time of the year.
