Get your hands on the coveted Alpbachtal hiking pins

Do you love climbing peaks, discovering cosy alpine huts and exploring the Tyrolean mountains step by step? Then there are some special awards waiting for you in the Alpbachtal: the Alpbachtal hiking pins.

On every hike, you collect stamps at huts, alpine pastures and peaks. The more destinations you reach, the higher the award. This turns every tour into a little challenge and every hike into a memorable holiday experience.

An overview of the Alpbachtal hiking pins

Mountain huts & alpine pastures badge

Anyone visiting the numerous alpine pastures, refreshment stops and mountain huts in the Alpbachtal can collect the popular ‘Hütten & Almen’ pin. 

Awards: 

  1. Bronze: 3 stamps
  2. Silver: 6 stamps
  3. Gold: 9 stamps

The stamp points are located at selected huts, alpine pastures, inns and snack bars in the region.

3-peak pin

For anyone who likes to aim high, there’s the 3-peak pin. 

Anyone who reaches three selected peaks in the Alpbachtal and collects the corresponding stamps will receive the coveted peak pin as a memento of their mountain hikes. 

Step-by-step guide

How it works

1. Get the panoramic map

You can pick up the free panoramic map from any tourist information office in the Alpbachtal or directly from your host. You’re also welcome to download it HERE.
It lists all the stamp points and provides information on the participating huts, alpine pastures and peaks. 

2. Collecting stamps

On every hike, you can collect proof of your walk at the marked stamp points.
The stamps can be found at:

  • Mountain huts
  • Alpine pastures
  • Inns
  • Refreshment stops
  • Selected peaks
     

3. Collect your hiking badge

Once you have collected enough stamps, you can collect your hiking pin from a tourist information office in the Alpbachtal holiday region.
With the Alpbachtal Card, you receive the hiking pins free of charge. Without the Alpbachtal Card, a contribution towards costs of €3.00 per pin will be charged.

Alpbachtal e-Games

Would you like to record your hiking adventures digitally? With the Alpbachtal e-Games, you can collect stamps for the hiking and summit badges conveniently via your smartphone and discover the region in a fun way. 

Your benefits:

Collect the required number of stamps at huts, mountain pastures or peaks, and then collect your hiking pin from a tourist information office. 

Where can I get the stamp card?

The free panoramic map showing all the stamp points is available from tourist information offices and many accommodation providers.

With the Alpbachtal Card, the hiking pins are available free of charge. Without the card, a pin costs €3.00.

What hiking badges are available in the Alpbachtal?
