Program: What to Expect!

At 10:00 am, the festive atmosphere kicks off in Reith im Alpbachtal with the procession of the music band and a concert. Along the culinary and crafts street, farmers treat visitors to regional specialties, while numerous artisans provide insights into their traditional craftsmanship. From making shingles, feather quill embroidery, or nearly forgotten crafts like lace-making, hat-making, to soap boiling, you'll gain impressive insights into old rural traditions.

Starting from 12:00 pm, the first cows will trot through the center of Reith im Alpbachtal. The plump beauties repeatedly delight onlookers, as Reith's farmers adorn their cows with splendid ribbons, colorful head decorations, and jingling bells. While waiting for the next arrivals, roaming alphorn players, "Goasslschnalzer," and numerous Tyrolean folk music groups will provide entertainment. Food stalls abound, tempting with true culinary delights. And at the grand farmer's and culinary market, the region's farmers offer genuine specialties such as Breitenbacher fruit, Kiachl (fried dough), Krapfen (pastries), and various delicious treats from Grandma's garden.

Even though the festival takes place on two Saturdays, rest assured that not a single returning cow will be admired for a second time.
