Weekly walking programme in the Alpbachtal

From Monday to Friday you can join varied walks. Certified mountain guides lead you to some of the most beautiful peaks and natural spots in Alpbach, Reith im Alpbachtal, Kramsach and Brandenberg. A tour of Rattenberg is also included.

The guided walks are free for guests of the region. Please register in advance in one of the tourist offices or with your host!

2019 Hiking Programme - Lake Zirein, the Blue Eye in the Rofan Range

An Alpine, demanding hike offering spectacular views over the Rofan Range!

Transfer to Aschau/ Wimm and from there on foot via Alpine pastures to Lake Zirein – descent to the Bayreuther Hütte – Pletzachgatterl and to Kramsach.

2019 Hiking Programme - Living the Land Farmhouse Adventure Hike in Reith im Alpbachtal

Short hike from the Reith im Alpbachtal tourist office to the Oberhausbichl farm in St. Gertraudi and back.

Guided tour of the farm - get up close with the animals.

At the end of the visit everybody is welcome to try some Kiachl (sphere shaped doughnut speciality).

2019 Hiking Programme - Alm Experience Hike Kohlgrubenalm in Reith im Alpbachtal

From Reith we will take the Reitherkogelbahn up to 1.100m. A scenic path leads along the Kerschbaumer Saddle past the Hechenblaiken Alm to the Kohlgruben Alm. This hut is an ideal spot to take a short break and maybe enjoy a glass of fresh cow’s milk. The last stretch takes us uphill to the Wiedersbergerhornbahn top station, where we will take the mountain lift gondola down to the bottom station.
