KulTour - Ancient crafts in Alpbach
What was Alpbach like in the past – and what makes the village so special today? On this circular hike, you will step by step immerse yourself in the history of the place and get to know Alpbach from a new perspective.
The hike starts in the village center. From there, the trail leads over the Neada to Inneralpbach. Along the way, exciting insights into the development of the village open up again and again – from the traditional life of bygone times to today’s Alpbach with its unmistakable character.
On the way back, the trail goes over the middle high path to the Weikart Mill. There, guests can enjoy a tour with an illustrative explanation of the milling process. This vividly conveys how work was done and flour was produced in earlier times.
Next, another special location is on the program: the Brechlstube, a former building for drying flax. Here, too, a piece of everyday and economic history of Alpbach becomes tangible.
This circular hike combines nature, movement, and lived history – ideal for those who not only want to see Alpbach but truly understand it.
