KulTour - Ancient crafts in Alpbach
How was Alpbach in the past – and what makes the village so special today? On this circular hike, you will gradually immerse yourself in the history of the place and get to know Alpbach from a new perspective.
The hike starts in the village center. From there, the trail continues over the Neada to Inneralpbach. Along the way, exciting insights into the development of the village are revealed – from the traditional way of life in bygone times to today's Alpbach with its distinctive character.
On the return, the path leads over the middle high trail to the Weikart Mill. Here, guests can enjoy a guided tour with a clear explanation of the milling process. This brings to life how work was done and flour was produced in earlier times.
Next on the program is another special place: the Brechlstube, a former building for drying flax. Here, too, a piece of everyday and economic history of Alpbach becomes tangible.
This circular hike combines nature, movement, and lived history – ideal for those who want to not only see Alpbach but truly understand it.

At the beginning of the village, there is a paid parking garage at the Spar supermarket and free parking spaces for cars marked below the fire station opposite the Spar supermarket.
