KulTour - Ancient crafts in Alpbach

What was Alpbach like in the past – and what makes the village so special today? On this round hike, you will gradually immerse yourself in the history of the place and get to know Alpbach from a new perspective.

The hike starts in the village center. From there, the trail leads over the Neada to Inneralpbach. Along the way, exciting insights into the village's development are continually revealed – from the traditional life of past times to today's Alpbach with its distinctive character.

On the way back, the route takes you along the middle altitude path to the Weikart Mill. Here, guests can enjoy a tour with a vivid explanation of the milling process. This brings to life how flour was produced and work was done in earlier times.

Following this, another special place is on the agenda: the Brechlstube, a former building for drying flax. Here, too, a piece of everyday and economic history of Alpbach becomes tangible.

This round hike combines nature, movement, and living history – ideal for those who want to not only see Alpbach but truly understand it.
